What does the 10 week programme consist of?

Our bespoke 10-week cancer rehabilitation programme includes:

  • 1:1 assessment with a Cancer Rehab Physiotherapist

  • Fitness and strength measures before and after treatment

  • 2 x weekly rehab sessions using a combination of physiotherapy, therapeutic counselling, personal training, yoga, scar therapy and/or lymphoedema treatment. You bespoke package is built based on your needs and preferences.

Your assessment begins with a comprehensive assessment of your cancer treatment journey and an in depth look at the side effects you are experiencing. We also review your past medical hirstory, exercise history and overall wellbeing. We then use a series of physical assessments and fitness tests to establish your base line fitness and appropriate training thresholds. From this assessment we identify and prioritise aims for the programme to meet your personal goals.

At the end of the 12 weeks we want you to have achieved your personal goals and have the confidence to continue to exercise to optimise your health and wellbeing.

WHAT HAPPENS NEXT?

On completion of your cancer rehabilitation programme you can join any of our group exercise classes or continue with 1:1 training if you prefer. We also have relationships with local gyms that provide discounted membership for clients when they have finished their programme with us.
